Tree in 2 x 5 inch coco fibre plug

A rare Carolinian species, found only in a few wild populations at the southern tip of Ontario. A showy tree commonly used in urban locations because of its high level of adaptability and tolerance to air pollution. As the name suggests, the pods and seeds can be used to make a unique flavour of coffee when roasted (must be roasted as seeds are toxic when raw). A nice shade tree, though it does not hold its leaves very long into the fall. A good choice for landscaping sunny locations in your lawn. This tree is native to the Carolinian Zone and will grow best in the milder regions of Southern Ontario.

Note: This tree is hardy up to zone 3, but its native range begins in zone 5 (Carolinian zone).
