Woodland Sunflower (Helianthus divaricatus) is gorgeous wildflower that will attract bees and many butterfly species including Checkerspot and Painted Lady. It makes a nice companion for your other natural pollinator species. It looks especially beautiful along woodland edges and makes a great companion plant for Black-Eyed Susan and Scarlett and Spotted Bee-Balms. It will thrive and spread quickly in full sun but will also do well in partial shade. Woodland sunflower is deer resistant.
