Plant in 2.5 x 2.5 x 3.5 inch plastic pot

A fruit-bearing shrub that produces large succulent raspberries which both wildlife and humans enjoy. The berry flavour is unique and more of a sweet 'candy' flavour than the classic Red Raspberry. Not an ideal shrub for small gardens as it spreads quite quickly via underground roots. Pruning regularly is essential to keep the size under control and to increase fruit production.

Prune dead branches in spring and then prune branches after fruiting in summer. If left unpruned, this shrub produces six-foot-long canes that will grow upwards and then eventually sideways and down to the ground. Fruit production will begin in the second or third year of growth. Bees are especially attracted to this shrub with the flowers providing food and hollow stems providing overwintering homes.
