Ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius) is a hardy shrub that tolerates a range of moisture levels (including drought once established). It captures the interest of many because of its attractive summer bloom and vibrant fall colours.  Extremely adaptable to harsh soil conditions, fast growing, and is an excellent habitat for birds and smaller wildlife. Sunnier locations produce a higher volume of blooms.
