Description

Meadowsweet (Spiraea alba) is a moisture loving shrub that is best planted in a partially shaded location. White spikelet flower heads bloom mid-summer and into the early fall, then produce seed pods which make a unique winter interest. Great for boggy areas, or soils that are consistently moist. Serves as a larval host for the Spring Azur butterfly.
