Description

One of the early spring bloomers and the first to feed the bees. Blooms are short lived and foliage will die back to the bulb once blooming is finished. Grows well in partial shade though it will bloom more frequently in sunny locations. The bulb is edible and the whole plants has an onion-like smell.  Deer and other rodents tend to avoid this perennial due to its strong odour.
